There are 4 colors of Aadhaar card recognized by the Government of India. All of them have different characteristics and are issued to different classes of people. These include blue, pink, white and yellow ration cards. They are issued to people of different income categories.
Blue-green-yellow ration card
Blue, green and yellow ration cards are issued by the government for those who are living below the poverty line. The colour of the ration card depends on the state and union territory. Foodgrains are given on these ration cards.
And it is issued to those families who do not even have an LPG connection. These ration cards are issued to families with an annual income of Rs 6,400 in rural areas and Rs 11,850 in urban areas.
Pink ration card
Families living in rural areas whose annual income is more than Rs 6,400 and urban families whose income is more than Rs 11,850. Pink coloured ration cards are issued to them. The card also has a photograph of the head of the family.
Antyodaya Anna Yojana ration card
Antyodaya Anna Yojana ration card has been run for such families who do not have any kind of regular means of income. In this category, the workers, the elderly and the unemployed come, which is included in the extremely poor category.
White ration card
White ration cards are made for such families who are financially strong and do not need subsidized food grains. White ration cards are mostly used as an identity card or address proof.
