The government is trying to improve connectivity. For this, attention is being paid to everything from road construction to the operation of buses. Keeping in mind the passengers going from Bihar to Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand, preparations are being made to run 121 new buses.
61 new routes have been selected for these buses. Buses are also being run on 19 inter-state routes of Bihar. Around 25 buses will ply on the route. This will greatly facilitate the people of Motihari, Patna, Samastipur, Gaya, Muzaffarpur, Chhapra and many other districts in inter-state transport.
The transport department had recently started preparations to run passenger trains on the Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand routes. After the survey, 61 routes have been selected. Keeping in mind the needs of the passengers, about 121 buses have been planned to run. The Bihar State Road Transport Corporation will operate these buses on PPP mode. Applications are expected to be received soon in this regard.
These inter-state buses will run from Chenari to Patna, 1 from Besaria to Muzaffarpur, 1 from Samastipur to Patna, 1 from Kataiya to Patna and 1 from Bettiah to Patna. 3 routes are being prepared from Purnia to Bhagarpur.
From Purnia take 1 bus to Patna. Similarly, it is planned to run 2 buses from Nawada to Biharsharif, 1 from Goh to Patna, 2 from Patna to Bakhtiyapur, 1 from Gaya to Hasanpur, 2 from Patna to Pali. Buses will also be operated on the Amarpur-Patna, Piprahi-Jaywagarh, Kupha-Darbhanga bus stand, Dhodridiha-Patna and Patna-Sasaram routes.
