What are the rules for traveling by train?
A lot of times people miss the train. In such a situation, the railway gives you the facility to catch your train by going to the next 2 stops. After that, you can continue your journey. At the same time, many times people book tickets in advance, but for some reason the plan changes. There is no need to buy a new ticket. You can continue your journey on the same ticket. However, in such a situation, your coach may change.
What do you do if you miss your train?
You will need to speak to the ticket collector to continue your journey. He will make the next ticket and give it to you. If your train misses, you can board it after two stations. Till then TT won’t give your seat to anyone.
Can one take a break journey in a train?
Very few people know about this rule. If you are travelling more than 500 km, you can take a break in between. If the journey is 1000 km, you can take a break twice. When you travel, you can take a break of 2 days, excluding the date of boarding and de-boarding. This rule does not apply to luxury trains like Shatabdi, Janshatabdi and Rajdhani.
