The Indian Railways: Everyone wants to travel a long journey by train and thus during the festive or wedding season, people do not get confirmed train tickets. So they have to be booked in advance and in such a situation, there are many agents who also give confirmed tickets to people.
A confirmed railway ticket will always be available with the agent. But if you take a ticket from an agent, you will have to pay more money. But the question arises, how does a confirmed railway ticket reach these agents?
According to media reports, every railway broker books the ticket of every train two to three months in advance. For this, they book tickets of different ages. This includes their name, age and gender. After that, whenever a passenger books a ticket through an agent, he is given a confirmed ticket accordingly.
You can get stuck in getting a ticket from an agent
In this way, you must have understood that the ticket taken from the agent will not have the correct information of your name, age and gender. It is said by the agent that you will not be asked for an ID card but when the TTE suspects during the journey, he can ask you for an ID.
If your name, age and gender do not match with the ID in the ticket, then your confirmed seat can go. Apart from this, along with paying the fine, you may also have to eat the air of jail. Instead of a sleeper ticket of Rs 400, you may have to pay Rs 2000 as a fine. So you should avoid taking tickets from the agent.
Railways to take action against agent
Apart from this, campaigns are also run by the railway department against agents or black marketeers of tickets. Under this campaign, people selling illegal tickets are caught. Recently, the Railways has arrested many such agents who were booking confirmed tickets through illegal software.
