You’re not making that mistake either
Most people wear helmets out of fear of the traffic police but only to show off. This means that if you are wearing a helmet that is half hanging on the head or you have not put a strap on it, then wearing a helmet and not wearing it is the same. This is because at the time of accident, the helmet can fall out of your head or can also injure someone else walking on the road.
A fine of Rs 1000 will be imposed…
The new law has been added to the Motor Vehicles Act (1988) on the directions of the Ministry of Road and Transport to curb similar incidents. A fine of Rs 1000 will be imposed on the violators. Apart from this, a fine of Rs 1000 will be imposed if you are caught wearing a helmet with duplicate or no ISI mark. A fine of Rs 2,000 will also be imposed for not wearing a helmet.
Wear a helmet
If you are riding a two-wheeler, wearing a helmet is a must. Wearing a helmet is mandatory even if you are a pillion rider. According to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, two-wheeler riders account for the maximum number of deaths in road accidents.
Therefore, you should wear a helmet that fits perfectly on the head. Do not buy a helmet that is bigger or smaller than you. After wearing the helmet, do not forget to put the lock on the strap. Keep in mind that your helmet should not break from anywhere.
