MTHL: The Government of Maharashtra has given approval to run on the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link, which is about 21.8 km long. But this has just been launched one-way for cars. The toll fee is Rs 250 per person.
If different tolls will be given to come and go on it, then it will be ₹500. But if you pay toll simultaneously for up and down, then this tax will be only Rs 375. According to the report, about 70,000 vehicles will pass through this bridge in 1 day. If 70,000 vehicles pass on the bridge from one side, the bridge will earn Rs 1.75 crore per day.
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, will inaugurate India’s longest sea bridge on 12th January. After the inauguration, the bridge will be thrown open to the public. This will be the tenth such bridge in the world. It is nearly 4 times longer than the existing Bandra-Worli Sea Link, the longest sea bridge in the country.
It is being claimed that now the distance between Panvel and South Mumbai from Atal Setu will be reduced by about 15 kilometers. Now Navi Mumbai to South Mumbai will be reached in 35 minutes, currently it takes two hours. According to the information received by the officials, MTHL will save fuel worth Rs 500 on each trip.
Rs 375 for daily ups and downs
If someone passes through the tax, he will have to pay ₹250 as toll tax and this decision has been taken by the Maharashtra government as per the current toll collection rules. The 22-km-long sea bridge stretches from Panvel in Raigad district to Saveri in south Mumbai. Apart from this, officials have said that for those who drive on MTHL every day or commute on this route daily, there will be only Rs 375 toll tax.
AI technology will always be there
The 6-lane Atal Setu Sea-Bridge has been constructed at a cost of Rs 17,843 crore. The 16.50 -km stretch of the nearly 22-km bridge will be completely over the sea. The MTHL is expected to handle 70,000 vehicles per day. Top speed is 100 km / h. While this highway will be monitored with the help of AI at all times. If there is a fault or break down in a vehicle, the AI-based cameras will immediately detect it and inform the control room.
