The Japanese passport is considered the most powerful in this list. In the first Passport Index, the passports of 6 countries of the world are the most powerful. Passports of France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Singapore and Spain are the most powerful in this list. These passports give you visa-free access to 194 countries.
For the last 5 years, Japan and Singapore have occupied the number one position in the list of the world’s most powerful passports.

The data has been continuously released since 2006. The Henley Index ranks all countries based on the number of countries a passport holder can travel to without a visa.

South Korea is followed by Finland and Sweden in the Henley Passport Index. You can travel to 193 countries visa-free. They are followed by Denmark, Austria, Ireland and the Netherlands. You can travel to 192 countries visa-free.
India is number one.
According to the Henley Passport Index 2024, India ranks 80th in the list of most powerful passports. The Indian passport allows you to travel to 62 countries visa-free. These include Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. Along with India, Uzbekistan is also at number 80, while neighboring Pakistan is at 101st position.
