The bullet train: Now the bullet train between Mumbai and Ahmedabad has started in the country and now the railways has started preparing to run bullet trains on 2 more new corridors. The work on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor is progressing at a rapid pace.
The country first bullet train may run on this route next year i.e. 2025. Meanwhile, work on the DPR on two more routes will begin. The feasibility of these two routes has already been prepared.
DG PIO Railways Yogesh Bajwa said that the bullet train project in the country is the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.It is being constructed by the National High Speed Railway Corporation. Now after Delhi, Mumbai and Ahmedabad, preparations are being made to run bullet trains on 6 other routes of the country in the future.
And their feasibility report is ready. The bullet train will run between Howrah-Varanasi and Delhi-Amtsar. The work of preparing the DPR will start after the Lok Sabha elections this year. The DPR work, which is likely to start from June-July, will be completed in 6-8 months.

The feasibility report has been prepared for Delhi-Amritsar, Howrah-Varanasi-Patna, Delhi-Agra-Lucknow-Varanasi, Delhi-Jaipur-Udaipur-Ahmedabad, Mumbai-Nashik-Nagpur, Mumbai-Hyderabad corridors.
A look at the bullet train
The National High-Speed Rail Corporation (NHSRCL) is constructing the country first high-speed rail line between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, which is 508 km long. The 352-km stretch will pass through eight districts of Gujarat. The work of the project has started in all the eight districts of Gujarat. Moreover, for the first time in the country, an undersea tunnel is going to be built under this corridor.
Till now there is no such tunnel boring machine in the country, now parts of TBM are being sourced from different countries and will be assembled here. The excavation will begin after that. According to the Railway Ministry, the TBM will be assembled in 2-3 months. The tunnel will be between Bandra-Kurla Complex underground station and Shilphata.
